Characteristics of the Ceramic Fiber Filter
Cleaning method:
Its main substrates are alumina and silica.
Operating temperature:
Its long-term maximum operating temperature is 1100℃ when only dedusting is considered. For catalytic ceramic fiber filter, the recommended operating temperature is 250℃-400℃.
Corrosion resistance:
Resistant to acid and alkali corrosion( except for super acid and super alkali such as HF, H₃PO4, Na₂O, K₂O when no alkali agent is added)
Non-combustible:
It can contact with the fire directly and it is non-combustible.
Physical strength:
Unlike the traditional bag filter, the ceramic fiber filter can maintain high physical strength at room temperature or high temperature without keel supporting.
Physical structure:
It is made of ceramic fiber to be porous structure, and its wall thickness is 10-20mm.
Filtration velocity:
Generally set from 2cm/s to 5cm/s, which is far quicker than the filtration velocity of the bag filter. And it can be adjusted according to the actual working conditions.
Filter resistance:
The filter resistance is only 100pa at room temperature.
System resistance:
The resistance of the whole dedusting system is generally 2000-2300pa.
Filtration accuracy:
It can filter dust larger than 1 micron. For dust smaller than 1 micron, the dedusting effect is also very good if special reagents are added.
Dedusting efficiency:
Up to 99.99%.
Service life:
The ceramic fiber filter can normally be used for 5-10 years, and even more than 10 years for many enterprises.
Cleaning Design
Cleaning method:
Clean with pulsed compressed gas backflushing
Backflush pressure:
Generally, the pressure used is between 0.4mpa and 0.7mpa, which will be determined according to the parameters of the dusty gas and the specifications of the filter.
Backflush time:
The backflush process lasts only 0.15 seconds.
Backflush cycle:
The backflush cycle can be set up based on the pressure difference. When the pressure sensor reaches the set parameters, the backflush process start.
Backflush Air Volume:
Generally, the amount of compressed gas needed for each filter is the amount of the filter’s volume.
Backflush design:
Each backflush tube can generally be used to blow 18 to 20 small diameter filters , or 8 to 10 large diameter filters. The system structure could be designed according to this.
No expansion of bags:
Unlike the traditional bag filter, the ceramic fiber filter itself is a rigid structure. The backflush cleaning process will not expand nor deform the filter.
No raised dust:
During the backflush process, the dust cake fall off from the ceramic fiber filter without secondary raised dust caused, while bag filter will cause secondary raised dust.
